i didn't like my shifter stick i got when i purchased my car.....so i did some research and the shifter we had when we were young in our 66 Chevelle was a 66 or 67 GTO shifter stick with the round handle and flat where it says Hurst.....they make a replica...some company in Chicago has a contract with Hurst to make them....so i called them and they said they can only sell the whole shifter assembly...$329...i only need the stick.....so i won this one on Ebay...i had to purchase the whole shifter but got it for $158 used...i like it....its taller and easier to reach...anyways here's some pictures of the old one and the new one.....or the newer one replaced by the older one i should say :yes:

I really like it, if it were mine I would go with the chrome ball, just adds that little extra. The white shift knob seems out of place around all the chrome and black.

i have a black ball also..it came with the shifter i bought off of Ebay....for some reason i've always been partial to white

Holy cow! That car looked to be perfect when you bought. What in the world, if I may ask, did you do to it for 4 grand. It didn't look like it needed anything.
