Only if you have to. With this economy, I would think prices would be off at least 25% especially with winter on it's way. I would hold out til Spring if I possibly could

I was looking at the results of the big Mecum auction this month and the prices were really low.

If your car is very well restored and detailed it will probably sell okay.

If you have a driver condition, it will bring less money than it would have one year ago.

Generally speaking no.

Couldnt get more than salvage value for my Z if that. Noone wants to part with a buck right now.

Right there with ya, never been this broke and in debt in my life, unemployed to boot. Doesnt look good.

Only if you believe in buy high, sell low. In that get case, now is good time time to divest your stock shares too.

True, the economy is not good but there is still money out there looking for quality stuff. I was at the Branson auction a couple weeks ago and some cars brought what I thougt was a lot of money. There were also some that "no saled" for a lot of money too. In general, and in my opinion, this is a good time to buy and not a good time to sell.

Its a great time to sell if you are out of options and the money is needed. The fact of getting what the car is *worth* should come secondary if it comes down to putting food on the table or keeping your Chevelle - for heavens sake, sell the Chevelle!

With all do respect to you and your question.......

HAA!!! 'ROTS A 'RUCK WITH THAT!

I can't sell anything right now. The only replies I've gotten (No kidding either) are from scam artists. Not one legitimate bite. And I thought I priced my stuff very resonable. Hang on to it.

Keeping up with bills and rent/house payments are more important than cars, so if you really have to, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Is it a good time to sell in general? No, but every situation is different.

man i buy and sell carsunder $2000 everyday just cheap cars for people to get around in in the past three weeks along i went from selling a car every other day to one a week and thats using atlanta craigslist i would definately say that if your looking to get top dollar right now isnt the time to sell anything people right now are watching every penny they spend because of the fear of the unknown.

It's better to be a buyer right now than a seller. Terrible time to sell anything right now, cars, houses....

I went to the Mecum auction and was blown away by how cheaply some really nice cars were selling for, not to mention those cars that never met reserve. Don't hold your breath, it's going to be a good while before things turn around. Don't sell unless you absolutely have to.

Well fellas Thanks for all the concerns. I did not want to turn this in to a for sale ad. I have a good lead on a local buyer thru a co worker willing to pay more than a fair price for chevelle. May sell it I will end up kicking my self in the head if I do,will never be able to get another like it. Dave
