Tom are your calipers single piston or are they the original 4 piston style?

Tom you can have your calipers rebuilt or buy new ones from a few different compainies.....I believe the rebuilt units have had the bores relined with stainless. I don't know if the 67-68 Camaro and Corvette ones are the same, but you could always give them a try. If you just want to drive it maybe you can replace them with a single piston unit from 69 to 72 Chevelle's available at any local parts store and you can save your old ones to be repaired at a later date. Maybe someone will chime in and confirm whether or not they use the same mounting brackets and will work on a 68 ......Good Luck

i thank you. i did look in at rebuilding of the old calipers but the price to rebuild is more them the new calipers. i did install one of the calipers now and it looks like it will work but i have not added any fluid until i can get some more info. i thought of going to the 69 and newer brakes but after finding the calipers for the price this is cheaper. now car shop do say the the calipers that they sold me are for chevelle and camaro, but the part numbers are different. more info from chevelle peaple would be a big help guys.

I don't believe that the Camaro/Nova 4 piston calipers are interchangeable with the Chevelles. I have a pair sitting in my garage that I had hoped to use on my '66 way back when. I think that the rotors might be different diameters.
