ssal396 Oct 10th, 08, 2:27 PM What are the cam specs??
Brettd85 Oct 10th, 08, 2:27 PM Hmm, The experts should probablt chime in soon but maybe too much lift? Wrong length pushrods? Wrong poly locks?
Jason Snyder Oct 10th, 08, 2:32 PM you can get some stud girdle locknuts and that would solve the problem .
Whiskey Oct 10th, 08, 2:59 PM I hate to say this, but I have seen this a lot. The roller rockers of lower quality (usually offshore stuff) do not locate side to side. They walk back and forth and rub on the rocker. Sometimes leaving little shavings in the engine. Go out and buy a quality set. Do a search here and you will find a lot of recommendations.

Canucit@msn.com Oct 10th, 08, 7:46 PM well I guess I should elaborate, its a fresh 454 and running very good but i wanted it to rumble at idle ( it had a stock cam ) so I put the lunati 60203 cam in and it sounds great but....
With the bigger cam do I have to put shorter pushrods in, and if not, then its probably the rocker arms
they do look cheap they came with the engine but I didnt have a problem with them before the cam (that I know of )
thanks Michael
The Devil's advocate Oct 10th, 08, 8:28 PM Push rods are already too short, geometry off.

Milton,
How in the world do you know that ????? Certainly not from the pictures posted.
BillK Oct 10th, 08, 10:49 PM Michael,
Looks like either the wrong polylocks, which I have seen a few times, or the wrong length pushrod.
One other possibility, and it sort of looks like it looking at your first picture, is that the rocker shafts are upside down ? Its kind of hard to see, but usually the "flat" side of the shaft is up to the polylock.
It does look like they are fairly centered as far as movement goes. How about a picture without the polylock, and one from the front or back to see how the rocker tip is hitting the valve ?
mr 4 speed Oct 10th, 08, 11:19 PM Michael,you don't need roller rockers with the 60203 cam.
Waste of money. I have been drag racing and street driving the previous design of that cam for the last 7 years and get by just fine with the GM stamped rockers.Manley Severe Duty stock length pushrods as well. Nothing fancy :)
Whiskey Oct 11th, 08, 8:48 AM I'm telling ya, I have a set of those rockers in a box here from one of the guys I build with. They are in a box and need to go in the dumpster. They walk back and forth and is not a poly lock issue. I agree with Chris. Go with stamped OEM rockers and be done. Or buy some quality rollers.
