right now i have a gm hei with accel cap/rotor and coil, i want to go to a box like a 6a or 6al ( msd) what are my other options aside from those boxes? the pertroniz second strike is just a second spark right, are they any more powerfull than stock ( like the msd's)? is there an ignition package out there thats all inclusive?

When it comes to the performance of MSD boxes I think they are all pretty much the same... except for the ones with programmable ignition advance, but they geat REAL expensive for minimal gain. Now reliability and quality is a different story and I've never been disappointed by my MSD 6A.

By the way, when I say "MSD" I'm referring to "Multiple Spark Discharge", NOT the brand-name.

If your ignition is working fine now a MSD box or Hyfire Box will not improve anything,the only advantage to running one of those boxes is the rev limiter. I run a Mallory Unilite distributor and a Blaster II coil and it will rev as far as I need it to.
