Does anyone have any experience with the differences between replacement carpets for Chevelles with 4 Speeds without console versus 4 speeds with console?
Some suppliers list different partnumbers because they say the floor 'Hump" is different. I know the hump is different but is the carpet "really" different in this area when you order for a console car versus a non console car?
What suppliers offer both styles for the consile / non console cars? I am redoing my interior and MIGHT add a console. The car was originally an automatic so I am going to buy one hump or the other depending on which direction I go in. I need to understand if the claims of different shaping in the carpet hump areas are true. If I go for the console it will be expensive just for the console and so I want to be SURE that the carpet FITS the console car floor perfectly. Same goes for the non console stick equipped floor. If I order the non console hump I want the correct carpet to fit that floor correctly.
Thanks for your input.
PS I should have stated that the car is a 1972
