I have a 1971 El Camino SS 402, I have replaced the valve springs to 675lift max, new Comp Cams Magnum trunion roller rockers, 7/16 push rods and guides, Comp Cams Extreme Energy 294H (288I 293E 294DdurI 306durE) with lifters, .167 dome pistons, Steel 427 crank, Weiand Tunnel Ram, 2 600cfm Edelbrock carbs, Pro billet MSD distributor (vacuum advance), MSD 6al Mallory pro comp coil. turbo 400 with 2800 stall,
373 rear gears...

My problem is I think I went a bit too far  And I can get the rockers to shut up, What do you think... not enough stall... to much cam... scrap the tunnel... defective lifters/rocker arms Let me know... (The rockers are driving me nuts) tightened from zero lash one full turn. and still noisy).. Help... graemlins/clonk.gif
:D

UPDATE: Here is the cam specs:

Duration Advertised: 294° Intake / 306° Exhaust
Duration @ .050'' Lift: 250° Intake / 256° Exhaust
Valve Lift w/1.7 Rockers: .588'' Intake / .593'' Exhaust
Lobe Separation Angle: 110°

Have A Look...

try 3/4 turn. also youll find that roller rockrs can make some noise. what valve covers are you running? also look to see if any part of the rocker is hitting any part of the springs.
