On a 71 Chevelle SS with rally gauges, where does the resistor go on the tempreature gauge? Across the 3 & 9 lugs or the 12 & 6 lugs, (the 6 o'clock lug is a ground on this car).

6 and 12, my son just did this conversion, also make sure it is grounded, my son had a problem, and spent a lot of time trying to find problem, and it was the ground.

Thanks a lot, I have already run a ground wire from the 6 o'clock to the other black dash ground wires.
