Hi Folks!
Looking to install a header (2" primary tube) on my 69 Chevelle w/ a BB. Any recommendations for a street/strip car. I've seen the regular Hooker's go for $349 in Jeg's. Any other suggestions especially at a better price? Thanks!

Summit has good deals on Thorley ceramic Headers. They were the best(read cheapest) price. and they fit my bb Camino great

The Hookers don't fit very well. I had the driver's side in and out at least a dozen times and had to ding it in two places with a socket and cut a small portion of my lower A-Frame mounts as well.
I haven't used Dynomax BB headers but their small block headers fit great on the two vehicles I have installed them on. '67 Camaro and a 78 El Camino. They were also very reasonably priced. Around $200 if I remember right.

Dynomax is what I got too. They were cheap and fit fairly well on BBC. Mine are 1 3/4 though.
Oil Filter clearance is a little tight with the 4 speed. You have to use the smaller filter.I have pictures posted of my car with the headers look around!

Call summitt and ask for their "house brand" of ceramic headers. You will recieve the Dynomax headers repackaged and will be about $50 cheaper. My buddy did this last year. The Dynomax part number was stamped right on them clear as day. They don't mention these on their website but will over the phone.

Cool! Thanks for the tip. My Son needs a set for his Nova and at the age of 14 money is tight!
