I finally got all of the guages working on my 69. The only issue I have now is with the key/door buzzer. The pink/white wire going to the horn relay was not hooked up to any terminal when I got the car. When I do hook it up, (to the right most terminal under the horn relay per Mod. Dean's photo posted here many times), the buzzer goes on whenever the driver's door is opened, whether the key is in the ignition or not. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks...Jon

There's a switch in the column that's activated when the key is in the IGN. This switch
(although I'm not too familiar with them) is possibly stuck on.
A liberal spray of contact cleaner or WD40 in the key hole may loosen it up, but hopefully
you'll get a better answer on this.

when i got my new 69 GTO that was the first thing i disconnected. LOL. hardest thing to get used to was this was the first year the doors would lock without holding in the outside pushbutton. i ended up leaving a key under the hood. the inside locks were forward on the door and easy to lock unintentionally.
