: Identify Dart Iron Eagles?
70BB Feb 8th, 04, 12:02 AM Are there numbers or lettering somewhere on the Dart Iron Eagle heads that will identify their exact valve and combustion chamber size? I checked Darts website and was surprised to find nothing that would tell me if I have 64cc or 72cc heads with 2.02 or 2.05 intake valves.I must be missing something.
sinned Feb 8th, 04, 1:13 AM If you call World Products they will tell you which heads you have based on the casting numbers, they all have some form of ID.

As I remember, the Darts should have a long number stamped on the end just above the deck surface that will id them.
If you find the number I can't figure it out, call Dart or email it to me & I will look it up for you.
I think is is about 10 or so digits long.
THANKS MIKE!
Leave up to me to miss the obvious. The number is 10320010.I checked my summit catalouge and found this number to be 64cc with 2.02 intake valves. My brother and I were thinking these would work well on his SB400 were building(streetable,10:1,pump gas, etc.)Would you agree?

Dart bought the remaining assets of World Products some years ago and continues to cast certain of their products.
I just went out and took a look at a set of 200s that I have at the moment; there's no kind of marking that I can identify as the chamber cc's at all. They say "200" of course, but that's about it.
I'd suggest using a junk CD (how about one of those AOL ones from Summit?) and a turkey baster or something to cc them with, you should be able to be precise enough even with that.
Yes I agree with that head choice for that combo, that's basically what the ones I have here are going into, except they have 2.055"/1.625" valves and it will probably end up being a 434.
jethro81z28 Feb 8th, 04, 9:37 AM Same heads as mine and Iam about 10:1.
70BB Feb 8th, 04, 10:44 AM Thanks for the input fellas!
Pat Kelley Feb 8th, 04, 12:36 PM With flat tops (6cc), .041" quench, and 64cc heads a 406 will have about 11.4 SCR. You'll need dish pistons to get 10:1.

World was bought by Bill Mitchell & Dart is owned by Maskin the Pro Stock guy.
Two different companys, diffeerent heads & different blocks.
