Hey guys,
I am trying to wire my line lock with a toggle switch. I have tried other buttons but I think this one will be the best for my application.

I am using a illuminated switch. I can get the solenoid to engage by flicking the switch. The problem is the light will stay on when the switch isn't enaged. So what is the best way to wire the switch so that the light will stay on only when the the solenoid is engaged? Therefore indicating the linelock is ON.

I have 3 prongs ground, acc, power. I have the acc and power prongs wired to the ACC circuit. Perhaps if I wire the power to a full time 12 volt source and the acc to a ACC source the light will work properly? Or perhaps it is hard to get a illumunated toggle to work well with a line lock solenoid??

Thanks

So on your switch you should have grnd pwrfeed pwr out to line lock

When you say acc. are you talking about acc power from fusebox or acc being your actual solenoid?

Your pwr source should not matter if its full time or not. If that switch is not bad, it should work with your line lock fine. This is a single pole switch correct ?

You have it wired incorrectly. Power goes to a 12v source, acc goes to line lock, ground to a bare metal ground.

I'd be wary of using a toggle switch on my line lock. A momentary switch would be a better choice.

Good point! If the switch was ever accidently turned on, you would only have rear brakes.

Hey guys,
Yep I did wire it incorrectly. For some reason I thought ACC meant ACC power. I tried to keep the switch out of harms way but I will add a ground quick disconnect connection wire so it will only work when I am at the track..
