Yesterday I broke in the 468 in my wagon project. ( It sounded great!) I used Brad-Penn break in oil for the initial start up. I am changing the oil today And I want to know if I am correct in continuing to use the same break in oil for the first 300-500 miles then change to the oil that I would normally use? This is what I get from reading previous posts. I just want to make sure.

I appreciate any input.

I don't think it would hurt anything. I'm not familiar with this "break in" oil though but did you use EOS?

I don't think you broke it in yet, you just fired it up. After 20 to 30 of the initial firing it wouldn't hurt to change oil again, I have done this, it is kind of a rinse on a new engine. Check my thread on the other engine oil break in. Personally, I would run break in oil again until 500 miles. I couldn't tell you if there is zinc in EOS but I would think that would come in the cam assembly lube. If you are running a roller cam I don't think that is much concern. I'm sure your cam manufacturer will guide you.
