i'm not familiar with waht 4 door parts exchange with two door cars, but there looks to be well more than 600 worth of parts on that ride, and if it's pretty clean, that's a cheap beater.......

you know, this thread hit a nerve. i have this happen every day. i work threw a lot of e-mail and faxes, and several times a day, somebody who didn't read the whole note, calls to make a comment or ask a question.

i not only put it had more than 600 worth of parts, but if clean, would make a good beater (driver). several asked, why part it? i wasn't suggesting it was only good for parts, just an option. i hope who ever bought it, has luck with it. my assumption was either way, as a driver or parts car, it was well worth 600.....i guess i'm being bitchy, my company has downsized, and i have to do more jobs, now i'm just rambling.....

I think we 4 door guys take it personally because we like our cars. Yes, many of us have 2 door cars too. It just seems like whenever a 4 door is posted or for sale the only thing that is usually said about it is what parts on it work on a 2 door. Sorta like the Monte guys hate the Chevelle guys because Chevelle guys think Monte's are good parts cars.

The 4 doors have their place and are becoming more popular. Hopefully one day they will have their own class at shows much like the wagons and Elkys.

you know, that's true. i love old cars, yes i do perfer some models over others, but i'd be just as happy driving a 64 implala 4 door as my 59 ford truck. i think people, including me, forget we need to save some of these cars no matter what model.

personally i'm not into dropping 40k into a four door, but i have on ocassion saved a four door and traded or sold to somebody who really appreciates it. i recently bought a 65 ford fairlane, then traded it for a sprint that was "too much" for a young girl. now every time i run into her, she thanks me for her "baby", and she has the 65 looking show room. there is also a kid in my neighborhood that has something very nasty under the hood of his 67 dart, four door. almost all of them are history, and most deserve to be kept alive....
