Considering the price of other aluminum radiators, I was wondering if anyone has had a chance to check out the ones that Summit makes. I have a 70 Chevelle with a 396 and 400 trans. It is not a race car, more of a cruiser that will recieve more mods in the future to improve horsepower and such. Any comments would be appreciated.

I have one in my 66, it is made by Northern and is a good quality piece. The tanks are stamped so they are not as nice as the Be Cools or Griffins but if you spend some time and polish them they can look almost as nice for less than half the price. I would not hesitate to buy another one.

I shoulda sent mine back b/c I'm almost sure it was a second!! It had a ding in the back middle and lines across the back vertically too where it musta been mounted for ass'y.
But I figure at the price, shipping it back woulda ate into the good price!!
I know, I'm too tight!!

Matt, I have one sitting in my garage, I ran it for one summer in my 454/TH400. I saw absolutely no difference from my regular radiator..I thought I would drop a little temp, as mine runs a little warm, but it did nothing at all. Im sure every case isnt the same, but Im now running the old radiator again, with a set of winstar fans...much cooler.. Now the aluminum one will be an ebay item. John

I am going to use a Ron Davis radiator. they can make the lower hose outlet straight instead of angled!! and they can make the neck angled or straight with a billet neck, and it is all tig welded. And they have more fins per inch than the other aftermarket radiators, if forget his website, do a searh for ron davis radiators, also if you go over to pro-touring.com he will give you i think %10-15% OFF! real nice stuff, only about $240
