Also congrats to TC Member Dana Buccini (hope I spelled that last name right) for posting a new best 13.55 ET at the same event in his beautiful 69 Malibu with 383 for power.

I was the only TC loser Saturday, losing to Dana in the first round, buying back in, and then losing again in the 2nd round smile.gif

They always want to take your photo after you've been out in 90 degree heat and humidity all day, working on your car, etc. I looked like a whipped dog in the last photo they took of me. Gordon and Kenny look pretty fresh though, I'm thinking they must have professional pit crews or something smile.gif

Oh and Rob...a shaved head is WAY bette than a combover...

Thanks Mike for posting. I must admit, I hated to make it to the finals and not win. However Gordon was simply the better racer that night. Hat's off to him for an awesome day of racing. We both ran in another race the following day (Sunday) and runner'd up in our respective classes smile.gif It was a good weekend graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I'm gonna steal Kenny's phrase and say that the win was indeed bittersweet. It took a lot of the joy out of the win, but I was glad Ken racked up the points and may make a trip to the divisional finals after that great race day.

Ken cut a good .050 light in that final, but his car fell off it's usual deadly consistency on Saturday. His ARB should be in this week though so I think he'll be deadly the next time he's in the finals.

It's been a learning experience this year. I think both Ken and I have made big strides in learning how to effectively compete in bracket racing. We both have high hopes for next year.

Uh,...no videos? I still have that one video from inside Gordon's Camaro racing against Kenny. I love that stick-shift reving launch and gear banging.

The competition in Sportsman at Atlanta Dragway is very tough. Bill and I watched round 1 from the fence, and it was amazing how many cars went dead-on their dial. I think making a final amongst that group is quite an accomplishment.
