I was wondering if anyone has the chambered exhaust from year one. If so, could you tell me the pros and cons if any. One of my concerns was how loud are they and if they would rust out fast? I,m using them on a 454, with stock manifolds. Thanks .

I have the set up from Gardener on my '69 SS396. It is the stock set up including the resonators. They fit & look perfect, but they are loud. Last week my neighbor told me (jokingly) to put mufflers on. But it is a wonderful sound.

If you love the sound of a big block 'vette with sidepipes, you'll love the sound of the chambered exhaust. If you are concerned about disturbing the peace, yes, you will!
