Was thinking of replacing my GM HEI in my 69 L-78 with an MSD distributor and the MSD 6A box.

Anyone using them? Comments,good,bad ,or ugly?

They make Sooooooooo many types and comb's I kind of lost. I was looking at the one that looks just like the GM only with the red cap and still has the coil in the cap. Can you use that with the 6A box?

Hoping to get a quicker throttle respones and better burn on my fuel, does this make sense?

I'm running the msd pro billet hei w/6al box - it's great! The HEI by itself was okay, but the 6al made all the difference - very clean, (almost) complete burn - even with my too rich might demon carb. I noticed the difference wiht the 6al when I first fired it up. And, I get some rev-limiting capability now.

The only difference between the 6A and the 6AL is the rev limiter correct?

Is the HEI you are running the same as far as looks and the coil being in the cap? Just like the GM. Not the smaller MSD HEI with the external coil???
