There was a guy here that was doing that with Chevy and GMC trucks. He used a long box, grafted the rear of on to the back of another crew cab and put a short box on it. Actually, I think a member with the user name Rod used to work with him. They did beautifull work. The guy was very good at what he did but unfortunatly he was a poor business man and went broke. I will try and contact Rod about this thread. He might have some pictures

They sure do look different, but there as about as good as it gets for towing a trailer.

Hey Terry thanks for putting me on to this thread. I worked with a guy that built something similar to this on a GM platform. It was called a stretch, ok real original I know. Basically an extended cab was grafted to the back of a crew cab. The frame was stretched and it had a full box or short box depending on what the customer wanted. Usually 454 or diesel powered. Several went to Australia and all over western Canada. As Terry mentioned the owner is gifted when it comes to this sort of work but a business man he is not, lots of us out money but that is another story. Not sure I have any pictures but I will take a look.
If ya like a dually version.....

see quite a few stretched trucks in Alaska.
The oil companies have those for the crew.
