Hey guys, putting the BBC back together, and am having a mental lapse. The 2 smaller wires that connect to the starter besides the battery wire. One is black one is yellow. Does it matter which sides they go on the solenoid? thanks!

It sure does matter. The yellow one goes to the R terminal and the other one goes to the S terminal.

Thanks man! Buttoning up the last few things on this beast, hopefully firing it up in the next few weeks. I realize not the best timing going into winter, but heck, its CA isn't it :) Winter just means it gets a little colder and is rainy sometimes.

The black one should be a 12g purple.

Ok, it might have been purple. It was darker, and the wire was dirty, it could very well have been purple.
