So right now I have a 72 Chevelle. Bone stock, no options, it should say Malibu but it doesn't. So I dont have the cowl hood. I have the nice flat one. So my question is...Can I run a RPM Airgap intake with a Performer Carb with a air cleaner on top and clear the stock hood?

The engine right now is a 350 with the factory 2 barrel sitting on top. Also, what CFM would you guys recommend if everything will clear?

Also, my other thread wasn't getting any bites so if you can help me out with my pic request that would be great also:)

I'm wondering if anyone can hook me up with a pic of a shifter handle for a tilt column(being the tilt column is column shift) I have a non tilt one but of cource it doesn't fit and I would like to see what I need to be looking for.

Thanks guys!

Matt; You should have no clearance problems with the RPM.I ran an airgap on my '68 "SS-396",and had plenty of room. Steve

As for carb size,the 600 cfm,model # 1405,is plenty for your 350. Steve
