Just curious -

Is anyone aware of this or another 67 Chevelle, SS, or El Camino with the yy (butternut) paint code and t (turquoise) interior? I bought an SS in 1967 in SLC, UT with 325/396, 4 speed, bench seat, poverty caps and am radio. It was originally sold in Riverton, UT. I've never seen another 67 with those colors or the one I sold in 1968 in Pocatello, ID.

I have heard that the turquoise interior with Butternut Yellow paint was available, but I have not seen one. I do recall one person posting on this site several years ago that had a '67 Malibu 4-door that was factory Butternut Yellow with medium blue interior (not a factory recommended combination). A customer could order non-recommended color combos if they personally signed off on it at the dealer order.

You could get the YY with Turquoise combos on Chevelles and Camaros at least, Possibly Impalas as well. You could also get Yellow interior on Camaros with a number of exterior colors (including Emerald Turquoise).

That comination was approved by GM's now defunct Design and Color division, so as unlikely as it sounds they don't actually clash.
