is there a problem using this pump for a street car? i know some are designed for street duty.

It will work just fine. Keep in mind that it is externally bypassed and you will need to run a return line from the bypass on the pump (or regulator) back to the fuel tank. With out this the pump will put out too much pressure and burn up!

The Mallory 110/140 are internally bypassed and do not require a return. For this reason the 110 or 140 may be a better choice depending on your horse power level.

If your car is in the low 11 second range or faster the Mallory 140 or 250 is the way to go.

Also, the Mallory 110 does not require a pressure regulator. For the other two a holley big port regulator would be my choice.

If you're looking at used stuff, make sure it's like brand new and that it was properly used.

im running the 250 on mine. not many miles yet but all seems fine. as a side note, mallory recommends a #10 return line with this pump. i used a #8 and couldnt get my pressure down to under 12lbs. had to go to #10 Dave
