Well, I made my first ever 11 second run tonight...I was so excited my hands were almost shaking. I still think there is more in this combo, but I am tickled pink to be in the 11's on 93 octane, full exhaust, drag radials, and remaining extremely docile on the street. No trailer for this baby....aprox 20 miles to/from the track.
Here is my best of the night(second of 4 runs), I didn't make it past the first round of eliminations...but oh well:
R/T: .596
60: 1.76
330: 4.90
1/8: 7.55 @ 92.06
1000: 9.876
1/4: 11.85 @ 113.40
My previous best was a 12.10 @ 112. The changes I made were heating up the drag radials a bit more and launching at 2700 rpm (which dropped my 60' .05) as well as bumping the timing up a few more degrees to 32 total on the high end.
I am looking forward to being out there again sunday to continue working on the launch technique. Still trying to figure out if I should load the converter more of try the leave from idle and flash the converter trick. Not sure how much more the drag radials will hold...
Man this is getting addicting...
