Hea guys, not sure this is the right forum so if it needs to be moved that ok. In 1966 I seen a chevelle that I fell in love with. In 1970 when I turn 16 not only could I not afford a 66 but could not afford insurance on it either. So I bought an impala said someday. So marriage and kids and no money someday was a long time coming. In 2003 I started looking for my 66, in late 2006 I finaly found my car not only was it a 66 but it was the 66 I had seen in town when I was younger. Finaly talked the orginal owner (was a friend of mine) in to seling it to me. Orginal color was Aztec Bronze, which did not hold up to good, so the car is now black. But I love the AB, after driving about a year, I was told about Team Chevelle. So with you all help I decided to put thet car back to the way I frist loved it. But I'll need a lot of help from people on this site. So with your help I will try to do it right. If you see something being done wrong please let me know, I don't get my feeling hurt easy. Thanks Gary.16363

Hey Gary!! :)
Thick Skin and armour on!! You should do just fine..:D
So, what is your plan?? Paint it back to AB?? Is it still with it's orig. drivetrain?
1st thing you need to do is ask yourself.. what is the Goal for the car.. Daily Driver, Sunday driver, full blown Show Car, what? That will dictate how deep you get into the car $$$ it happens quickly!!!
Good luck

Started out as a good driver. But with all #s matching an I liked the bronze. I thought I would paint it. Well one thing led to another an now its off the frame. Just trying to get the paint right at the moment its at a stand still. But some one is helping now. I dont want a trailer queen. Just a super nice car. Thanks Gary

Code M - Aztec Bronze is one of those one year only 1960s colors that really does it for me. I've got a 1966 Corvair Corsa in Aztec Bronze with a Black interior - it's really an eye catching color in the sun.

Aztec Bronze is my favorite 66 color. My 66SS was originally Artesian Turquoise.
