Hey guys, i can't find the oil pressure fitting hole for the life of me on my BBC. Finally getting around to hooking up all the little stuff, and just can't find it.
I know on my old SBC it was on the back of the block behind the intake, but didn't see anything like that on the BBC. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Check by the oil filter near the boss for the clutch ball.

Stikmann,
I have a 70 454 and my oil pressure fitting is on the lower right hand side in the front of the engine if you are facing it. by bottom of the timing cover. I will try and send picture of it . (It may have a plug or bolt in it, mine have a oil pressure fitting there.

what he said.. it's right above the oil filter. it's a 1/4" NPT hole, i believe- which is actually about 1/2" in diameter.

Be sure to use 1/8" copper line, not plastic.

Ok perfect, i will look down by the oil filter boss. And yes, the car had the good ol' plastic line setup on it, thinking of converting it over to the copper line.

Along the left pan rail there is a 1/4 NPT plug in alinment with each main cap, then another at the front end just to cars left of the timing chain cover. Any of those will work if its less congested than back by the filter. On that copper tubing, a couple coils in it near the fitting will reduce the risk of cracking next to the fitting, if you have the space you can do the same before it goes thru the firewall

Ok, finally got around to putting this thing together. On top of the oil filter housing i see a plugged hole, looks about the right size, or a larger one with a machined flat face on it, looks more like a mounting point for something. I am assuming this is probably the one with the plug in it correct? The other one is slightly off to the side, while the plugged one is pretty central to the side of the filter housing.
