I am installing a new cvr mini starter on a 502 in my 67 it had a delco in it on a sb the old starter had 3 wires the main from the battery and the two on the solenoid marked R and S the new starter has only two terminals the main one and a small one not sure where the third wire goes, anyone have any idea ? thank you Mike

The purple is the "start" wire. The yellow provided power (full 12V) to the original points distributor during the "start" cycle. Its not needed if you run anything other than the original distributor.

Like Dave said, you may not need the yellow bypass wire, depending on which ignition system you have but it originally went to the plus side of the coil, not to the distributor.
IF anyone were to need the bypass wire re-connected when installing a starter without the extra "R" terminal, a diode must be used to connect the bypass wire to the "S" terminal.
