I drove one yesterday. I was pretty impressed! I drove the 4 cyl base model. Quiet, responsive, 30 mpg, good brakes and it was cheap! Just under $20k with the employee pricing. Anyone tried one?

I read about it in a car magazine. It looks like they redesigned it pretty good! It does look a lot better, and I understand the drive train is pretty advanced.

Did you buy it? With $4 a gallon gas, it helps to give you an excuse to NOT send our dollars to Tokyo, Korea, or Berlin.

I tried to take a test drive. They're making cars for midgets these days! If they'd leave that huge console out of it they might sell more of them.

My Daughter-in-Law bought one with the 2.4. Nice looking and driving car!
They had the car 2 weeks before they discovered the chrome 5 spoke wheels were actually steel wheels with a chromed plastic cover on them!l:)

Steve, I did not buy it...yet. I'm not ready to buy yet. I do a lot of research before I buy a car. It drives my wife crazy. And yes, one of the reasons I checked it out was because I'd like to support GM for finally making a decent sedan. CR actually gave the car a pretty good writeup too! If anyone is in the market, I'd suggest you give it a look

My Daughter bought the 09 6 cyl & she loves it, even has bowties in the tail lights.

Thats my impression. My mom had one as a rental and I had to move it out of the driveway so I could get the velle out. At 5'-10" I banged my head on the roof trying to sit in the car.

That happened to me too. I'm 6' 4" and I'm used to ducking. That's definitely a drawback to this car. Seems that they tried to pick up on the Dodge Magnum look...low roofline.

Once in the car, I had plenty of room.

My son is 6'1" and when they went on their honeymoon to FL. they took the Trailblazer. I asked why they were not taking the car with better mileage he said he wanted to be comfortable on a long drive.:)

Looked at one at a car show last winter and was impressed with the quality of the interior: materials, fit & finish. Exterior was nice too.

i don't really like these types of cars, but i told my wife at the first commercial, that chevy hit a home run. i think it should be pretty competitive against the camry and accord. for that type of car, it has a little style.....

I am a Service Manager for a Chevrolet-Cadillac dealer and can tell you first hand that the Malibu's dont come back with any issues at all.It is a far better car than the prior model.Great choice for a nice looking reasonably priced car.
