I posted a while back about a wheel hop problem at the track running drag radials. I installed a set of Edelbrock No Hop bars and tested it out. No more wheel hop! I also got rid of my rear air shocks in favor of a new set of KYB gas shocks. The rear sits 1" lower than the front now, but I can live with that as long as the wheel hop is gone.

How do they work?

How long did the install take?

Go the edelbrock's web site to see the details, but they basically raise the upper control arms about 4 inches in the rear and this changes the instant center of the rear end. Took me about 3 hours to install. Biggest headache is removing the old bushing from the control arms while under the car. The bolts they supplied were too short graemlins/angry.gif , so I had to make a trip to the hardware store. Thankfully there is some good information on removing bushings in the suspension section. This is a great site and I'm glad to have all this knowledge at my fingertips!

Glad to hear you're making progress. When are you heading back to the strip to test it out?

Well, that's a good question. I've got a set of vortecs and a new RPM air gap manifold sitting in the garage. When I get around to bolting these on I'm headed back to the track and we'll see. Going from 76 CC heads to vortecs should be an improvement and I'm hoping to run in the 13.50's.
