Hi Friends...
Just curious. Has your area been hit with no gas available?
The Charlotte NC area still has only about 20% of the fuel stations open at our post-Ike capacity. Most of the time the panic quickly runs them dry in several hours....fist fights etc. are happening.
Seems odd...I'm not hearing that it's this bad anywhere else.
Charlotte NC must have pissed in somebodies Cheerios in the petroluem industry.
Sittin at home today....I'll get my brakes finished.
Anybody have any estimates to paint a Chevelle with all new straight sheet metal? No windows, chrome etc...already in primer...not looking for a trailer queen paint job just a nice base coat-clear coat Lemans Blue.
Thanks,
jim

Several stations ran out the first couple days after the storm went thru here in the Cincinnati area with everybody panic buying but things have since settled down. Prices actually went down a little here Thursday and Friday from about $4.19 to around $3.65 for the 87 octane

My take on the situation in your area is that gas has been on the cheaper side for years and this is the only quadrant in the country they haven't F'd. There's no shortage of gas in this country, oil companys' and politics create them. It's an election year, look to see who's creating the shortage and who's behind in the polls, these MF's take no prisoners, all they want is a scare tactic vote!!!

We're pretty much screwed in metro Atlanta...if you don't mind waiting an hour or two, you MIGHT be able to fill up...

I went from Atlanta to Louisville, KY and back this weekend and once we got 50 miles north of Atlanta there was all the gas you neded and at $3.79 to $3.49 a gallon. There is more going on with this mess than the professional liars (politicians/lawyers) are telling us. I went to pick up my White 65 Elky from the painter and should have strangled him on the spot. Now I have to finish his work and respray the hood and a couple of other spots he got lazy on. Once I had driven 350 miles to pick it up, I couldn't easily have told him to keep it, fix it and I'll be back later. He's done 2 other cars for me and they were good - not this one. AAARGH! The body work looks OK - just the blems in the paint that need a heavy color sanding to level some spots and hope to not go thru the color coat.
