I have a 66 chevelle and i really want to put 18's on it. I have 15 inch cregers on there form the guy i bought the car from, and they rub in the beack and in the front. What backspcaing do i need for the largest set of 18 in tires? And do anyone have suggestion on styles other than the torque thrusts?

I have 18x8.5 Foose Nitrous IIs, with 255/40/R18 BFGoodrich KDW 2 tires. The wheels have a 4.5" backspace, and just barely rub the sway bar at full lock to lock on each side. The wheels and tires you can view on my photobucket page in my signature....go to wheels4less.com, GREAT PRICES and service. You can also buy tires from them..I bought 5 wheels and 1 tire($180) and the total with shipping was about $1,500. If you can get them locally for a reasonable price, you can save $$ on the mounting at a tire place....I paid quite a bit to have mine mounted and balanced, plus there's no warranty from the local tire shop.

What width rims are you looking for? I run 17 X 8 upfront with a 4 3/4" BS and 17 X 9.5" rear with a 5.5" backspacing with no rubbing at all
