did the 71 chevelle come with an internal regulator by default? My buddy and I are arguing since I am in the midst of disamling my 71. I have found what looks like exteranl regulartor.

his response is not sire why that is there but you have an internal regulator.

I thought 73 was the start of internal from the factory?

You are correct. External regulator thru 72. Then they went external, at least on chevelles.
