Hi, all!
New to this forum, but this looks like the place to be for a GM gal like me!
I was wondering if I might be able to ask your expert opinion(s) on a molding issue. I'm in the process of trying to source some rear hood molding for a '69 SS396. This is the grooved piece that attaches to the back of the hood (obviously, eh!) and matches up with the two fender tips with the rubber blades.
I haven't had much luck finding this piece, until I came across a set of '68 SS mouding (center/hood plus fender tips) for sale in excellent condition, which the seller *says* will also fit the '69. I'm not 100% sure, though, and can't seem to find any simple cross-reference information. Might anyone please be able to tell me if the '68 hood molding and fender tips can be used on the '69? I'd hate to just blindly throw my money away on a girlish hope that these will fit. I'm totally new to finding parts for this model car, and I'd really be grateful for any light that anyone could shed on this.
Many, many thanks for your help! :) - Suebaby
