Okay, I currently own an all numbers matching POP black plate SS in corcus yellow. PS, PB, redone interior in leather. Looks killer. 283/195 horse 2 speed PG. Car is awesome, rust free and straight. I recently was offered $25,500 for the car. I found another black plate car with all the same options including POP but it has a 327/250 horse. 2 speed PG. Super straight car. Price is $27,500. Plus I will have to ship it for roughly $1500 and will have to pay tax out here. Worth the upgrade to the 327? Car is probably 1.5 grades better than mine on a scale of 1-10 as far as condition. Not sure what to do!

Wait for a 4 speed car
 I would not change cars if it was another PG. On the other hand if it was a 4 speed car I'd go for it.

Sounds like yours is nice and clean - you know exactly what you have now. I'd go check it out in person before I took a chance on another car.

If you want more power, throw a bigger engine in your car, and stash the original engine away. JMHO. :D

I agree with Dave. A swap as you describe will cost $3500 plus taxes on the other car. If it's more oomph you want, I'd look into something as simple as a 350 crate engine; $2200 plus change and probably shipping gets a 350/249hp complete engine from Scroggin-Dickey (their item #10067353KIT). Comes with Edelbrock intake, 600 cfm carb w/electric choke, MSD Street Fire HEI, gaskets, bolts, etc.

Put it together and voila.

Lots of other crate engines out there, GM and otherwise.
