I bought an engine wiring harness for my 69 396 Chevelle from M&H, had them do the HEI conversion. My problem is I don't have the original harness car came without engine. I know what wires go to the starter and but not sure of the rest. I have a pink and yellow wire that goes to the power side of the distributor, another set of wires that I think would go to the wiper motor, but there is a light blue wire about 4 inches with a female connector that is taped to the wiper harness, a dark blue wire with a 90 degree rubber boot that has a round female connector, a brown wire that looks like it may go to the distributor, an orange wire with a straight rubber boot that has a female spade connector that I think goes to the oil sender but seems to be on the passenger side unless the wiring goes over the engine. Help:D

Try to find a wiring diagram for the engine harness. One of those is for the oil pressure and if there is a wire attached to the wiper motor it probably goes to that. The diagram will tell you what most of those wires are for.

"a dark blue wire with a 90 degree rubber boot that has a round female connector This it the oil pressure sender w/gauge option or switch w/idiot light.

a brown wire that looks like it may go to the distributor This is the tach pulse signal used w/gauge option.

"an orange wire with a straight rubber boot that has a female spade connector" This goes to the heater blower motor.

"light blue wire about 4 inches " This along with a yellow and black connect to the wiper motor, a yellow dkblue connect to the washer pump.

"a dark blue wire with a 90 degree rubber boot that has a round female connector This it the oil pressure sender w/gauge option or switch w/idiot light.
