I just drained my powerglide transmission and installed a new filter and gasket. I have a stock pan. Whats a good amount of fluid to add before starting the car up and checking the level when its hot? thanks

About the same amount of fluid that you drained out.

You DID keep track of how much came out, right?

(throw in 5 quarts and see what happens.)
