I was over on eBay this evening looking at '68 Chevelles and I noticed that, despite the talk about the economy, the "Buy It Now" prices were pretty steep.
Hell, there are even three '68 SS clones over there with "Buy It Now" prices of over $20,000.

However, does anyone have any idea what makes this (http://www.chevelles.com/forums/%5Burl=http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-Chevelle-SS-1968-Chevrolet-Chevelle-SS-Straight-Body_W0QQitemZ270274366971QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item 270274366971&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C39%3A1%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245%5D%20this%5B/url%5D) '68 Chevelle worth $53,900 ?

BIN prices are just that.. pay attention more to what FINAL SALE price is...

People can put whatever price tag they want on a car.... many hope for that one big fish.. That one BIG DUMB FISH!! and they are out there!!

EBAY prices are not a reflection of what the market is.. not in my opinion... people are hesitant and they should be.. bidding on something they can't see... IN PERSON Auctions.. now that gives the real look, and feel and ability to talk with owners... and Private sales...

Take Ebay price tags with a Grain of Salt ;)

38K miles? Nice looking car, but if the mileage was true, it would have make a nice survivor. My guess is that it's not.

why does a 38K mile car have a new motor?
Its not matching numbers, so its ok looking is a few small pics. Nothing I would be willing to even consider paying more than 20-22K for in this market. Shoot maybe not even that much in current market.

I don't see why the '68 isn't a desirable as the '69. I like the '68 a little better.
