Sorry guys for the non-chevelle, but the meat heads at LS1tech never respond. I have the urge to get another LS1. It is a 99, 40,000 mi, bone stock. Very good overall condition. Guy wants $12,500 for it. It is a 6 speed with leather, CD.

I'm sorry I can't offer up an expert opinion, but I like those cars myself and from what I've seen that would be pushing the limit on a ten year old car, but if it's nice and all original go for it. Get him to take less of course.

40,000 Miles and bone stock is hard to find in a LS1 car. I would say $12,500 is about right. Most of the LS1 and LT1 cars have a ton of mods done to them and ran hard.
Make sure it is not a car they put back to stock to sell. I see the going back to stock sells a lot on the LS & F-body sites.

I think prices have stagnated on those but the 12.5k is not bad at all. Yeah you can buy the Z28s and regular Trans Ams for less all day long but the WS6 and SS LS1 cars are still 12k+ with low miles and in good shape. 6 speed and leather add $$$ too. IMO it is a decent deal. Color? The black and red ones tend to most of what is for sale. About the only color I didn't like of the WS6s was that special edition yellow. That was mainly because of the dark colored wheels that came on it. If it had shiny wheels I might have thought differently :) Good Luck. Post pics if you can.

Thanks guys it was a red car. I carfaxed it and it's a no-go:(
I do have a line on an 01 bone stock to the air filter black 6 speed with 36000 mi on it. He is being a stinker on price at $15k

Good luck on finding one. I bought my 99 SS new and it only has 7,000 miles on it. I'm not planing on selling it but have had a lot of people wanting to buy it.
