Just got a Stage II kit from SC&C. Instructions for lower ball joints say to cut or remove disc brake dust shield.
I seem to remember reading on the forum that all that is required is to grind the end of the a-arm a little.
So...can anyone tell me if a little will do it. Like the lip on the end. Or should I pull the spindles apart to cut or toss the dust shield?
Oh, kit is for a '71 w/factory front discs.
Thanks Guys...:)

In some cases you won't have to cut anything. In others you'll have to trim the backing plate where it meets the control arm. A die grinder will do the trick for you but you won't know how much or where until you mock it up first.

Better to cut the dust shield than to weaken the A-arm
