Can Anyone help me out here? When was the first year that the 355 block was produced? My dad seems to think there's no such thing as a 355.

Thanks

He's right. :D
However the 350,(348ci) was first made in either late 68 or early 69. BTW, a 355 is a .030 over 350.

Don't you just hate it when they are right?

Well if .030 over adds 5 ci., then .060 over adds

10ci.

Add a 3.75 stroke crank from a 400 to that .030 over 350 and you get a 377, bore it to .060 over and 383!!!!

A .030" over 350 with a 400 crank is a 383. Bore it .030" more to get a 388. The 377 is produced with a stock 4" 350 bore and the 3.75" stroke crank.
