Working on my 1972 Chevelle. Up on the firewall near the brake master cyl is where the horn relay is located on these cars. THere are two wires that plug into the relay, They are NOT the wires wires that attach to a lug on the lower part of the relay. They plug into the relay up above the lug.

One wire of the two is the horn lead, surprise surprise. The other is ??????? My wiring diagram shows the "other" wire going to the bulkhead connector. What does that wire do??? I cannot figure out where it comes out of the bulk head connector from the wiring diagram.

The black that runs into the bulkhead is the horn wire from the steering column, it gets grounded when the horn button is pressed.

Are you talking about the horn button wire that triggers the relay?

If it's the pink and blue wire ? That's for the key reminder, door open buzzer.
