MY FYN 79

I had really good luck running E-Tec 200 heads in the past on a healthy hydraulic roller 355.
Looking at the flow numbers the Edelbrocks have a very strong exhaust port out of the box. I'm planning another build with a hydraulic roller 383, and I'd like some thoughts on these heads.
Do you think the CNC Brodix 200RR head could outdo the E-Tec? Before the easy answer of yes, consider the E-Tec head is much cheaper as well.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Don't use much EDE stuff but here are some real world numbers off of my bench on the 200cc RaceRite that I used on a very mild 350 10.0 hyd cam deal.
These heads were flowed, dynoed & sent back to Brodix for the chamber option. No other changes.
Notice that the RR outflowed the 210AFR to .500 on the intake side.
AFR 210------Brodix200RR ----- 200Pro Action measured 207
.050-30/25 ------- 32/27 ------- 28/23
.100-61/54 ------- 64/52 ------- 60/52
.200-126/106 ----- 113/91 ------ 114/100
.300-180/150 ----- 168/135 ----- 165/137
.400-235/191 ----- 220/165 ----- 212/160
.500-273/213 ----- 249/181 ----- 244/176
.600-278/226 ----- 268/191 ----- 268/184
.700-287/232 ----- 279/196 ----- Not tested

New Brodix RR numbers after just the CNC chamber option, no other changes!!
.050 - 34/26
.100 - 67/63
.200 - 134/114
.300 - 194/164
.400 - 243/181
.500 - 266/189
.600 - 270/193
.700 - 279/195
All tests at 28", radius inlet, 4.155 bore, no pipe
The Pro 200 advertised numbers are:
.100 - 71/57
.200 - 146/101
.300 - 204/157
.400 - 250/177
.500 - 261/186
.600 - 268/190
.700 - 276/195
The engine picked up about 20 ft lbs & 30hp from the unported chambers all else the same.
All in all I think the heads were too big for this engine so it isn't a real fair test of the heads. I think they will kick ass on a higher rpm 350 or a good 383 or 400 though!!
If you are interested in a set email me & I can probably save you a dollar or two on them ;)

I have a set of the Brodix RR200's CNC chamber on my 406. I did about a zillion hours of research on heads before purchasing the Brodix. The only head remotely close were the AFR 210's, but they have larger runners, 210 vrs 200CC. Larger runners typically have less velocity = slower cylinder fill=less throttle responce etc.
The E-Tec's didn't look all that bad to me for a 200CC head, but look again at its low lift numbers. The low lift is where a lot of TQ is built, AFR has bragged about thier heads building lots of TQ and HP, and they do it with the low lift numbers. They do have a right to brag!
The Brodix 200 RR's have seemed to capture the best of low, medium, and high lift, with a fast 200CC runner.
Don't get to excited into looking at the .550 to .700 numbers, are you really going there with a hyd roller 355, I think not.
The price for a CNC chamber set of Brodix is not that bad, have Wolfplace cost you a set, you will be surprised.
