I have a 70ss 396 with a cowl induction hood. I have a 2 plugs that are not connected and Iam not sure where they go. They are both in the engine compartment. One is round with an orange and a blue wire going to it. the terminals in the plug are male ends and there at 90 degrees to each otther instead of parallel. the other plug has a black and a blue wire going to it. The plug has two male connectors side by side. I saw on team chevelle a pic of a 396 and I could just barely make out something on the engine behind the altenator and in front of the carb. that may have had these wires going to it. Can any body help. Thank you

The connector with Black and Blue is for TCS Solenoid.
Not familiar with a connector with Orange and Blue only.

Could you explain the tcs solenoid. where its located, what else it connects to. The pic I saw looks like it might also have a vacume line going to the carb. Iam not sure but I think my car might be missing this. Is this possible. Will it still run without it. Thanks Dave.

And, yes I would guess that ALL of them were bypassed back in the day........

A 70 with T400 trans has a round shaped connector, w/terminals at 90°, however the wire colors are black and orange. The black is the TCS ground at the trans, the orange is the trans kick down solenoid.
