I'm getting close to completion on my 67 drag car. My engine builder says the Mildone pan that was on the car was for a Nova and is only 6 Qts. I've spent alot of $ on the motor , 496 gen. IV , and don't want to cheap out on the pan. Per Ed @ Lemons headers the motor mounts I have are Small Block Mounts, 1 1/2" rise off of cross memeber, and my Lemons headers are made to accomodate these mounts so thats set, right or wrong, Can anyone give me direction as to which pan is best and will fit my application? Is the pan I have going to be O.K. as is being 6 qt.? I know it fits. Any help will as always be greatly appreciated.

All I can say is my experience with Kick-outs and SB........they suck! A laundry list of clearance problems, BB might be worse. I would recommend something better then what you see in the mail order house catalogs. Ask some of the bigger engine builder houses like Sheriff and see what they recommend.
Good luck!

Check out Canton products ...... they make a nice early Chevelle kick out pan #3550 that will clear Lemons headers I checked it all out when looking for headers ....could not use lemons in the end cause mine a stick car .....but nice headers ... The Canton pan is excellent and has stroker clearance indents, see pic in sig. FWIW

The mounts are of no issue the only difference between 67 sb and bb mounts is the drip rail edge for strength, placement is the same.
