Purs Feb 14th, 04, 9:31 PM Outstanding! What kind of valve covers are those?
JWA Feb 15th, 04, 12:47 AM Nice car!!
Here is some constructive criticism smile.gif :
While you have a very nice car I think your pic of the hole car is lacking. You need to park the beautiful ride in the sunlight and take some nice 4 corner shots of the car.
Something like this:
http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/ACE841/jeffss1.jpg
The engine and inerior shots are good smile.gif I know you'll probably have to wait until spring but please do get a better pic to show off that beauty smile.gif BTW The above link pic was taken by a pro for a feature, I wish I could take good shots like that
PS Are you still happy you didn't sell it smile.gif ?
jakeshoe Feb 15th, 04, 1:46 AM driver,
Awesome ride.
My dad has a '68 that is the same color.
Tripoli Turquoise.
We're in the middle of prepping it for paint, swapping 350 for 400, etc..
Your car makes the color look good.
kboorman Feb 15th, 04, 1:52 AM driver, did you use this car on the street with that electric drive water pump? If so, how did it work out? Did you have to do any work to clear the 11" tires? The car looks great - and the color is very nice. Is it Artesian Turquoise metallic?
kboorman Feb 15th, 04, 2:04 AM BTW jeff, if you want to get the best photos of your car, do it in soft light - that is at dawn or dusk. That way there are no hard shadows. You'd be suprised at the results that you get from the combination from the soft light and the sky in the background. Also, be careful to keep your shadow out of the picture - it ruins the shot. This was a tip from Chevy High Performance magazine, and it's a good one.
driver Feb 15th, 04, 8:59 AM The color is SEAVIEW AQUA MET,I found this in my paper work where the guy I got the car from had added the hood and bumpers and this is what he used to match the color.Yes, I did and do run the electric water pump on the streets with-out any problems. The valve covers are MOROSO FABRICATED
RACING ALUM for $259.99 at jegs part#710-68333.
About the tires I had to file the inside lip and
had to pull the 1/4's a little by a body man with the correct tool.About not selling it? It can be bought but not for the same price as two years ago. Back then it had a 454 and now it's a 502.
Back then it had a 400 t.c.i and now it has a coan 400 with a brake.Back then it had cheap shocks and now it has high$$ shocks and was relocated and set up by John holt racing.Hell
the list goes on and on.Driver
