Hello,
Wanted to seek some input on my weekends work. I have a 67 chevelle with 396, Lunati 60203 cam, Performer intake. I got me a set of Comp Cams 1411-16 - Comp Cams Magnum Roller Rocker Arms off EBAY a while back for half price, they were brand new. So in looking at installing them they recomended new push rods. So I went and got a set of Comp Cams 7854-16 - Comp Cams High Energy Pushrods.
Well my sons and I installed them over the weekend. We put Comp break in on the rockers and push rods and fired it up.
 My first concern was it took a very long time before they started pushing out oil. My old setup would take maybe 20 seconds. These took some time, close to a minute, so I kept pouring a little oil on them and finally they started oiling. So is this normal for these push rods? They are huge compared to my old ones. I am wondering if I need to pull a valve cover next time I start it up to see. I always had good oil pressure, that was never an issue.
:boring: Second question, more of a double checking myself. My boys did most of the replacement and I am sure we verified that the exhaust push rod was the longer of the 2. Just wanting to verify that is correct.
Thanks for your input.
