I was reading imchefbrian's post and read that he bought a G Tech from Ebay for $45. I don't exactly have the time and money to go to the track every week, but feel paying around $45 for an instrument that can really help me tune whenever I have a chance to stab the throttle as a benefit. I believe there are 2, maybe 3 G Tech models, as well as a couple other brands. I'd like to know which one of the G Techs is the best one to get....and if there are any other brands/models that may be better. Thanks a lot everyone, and I really appreciate the help and input graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Ok well, I kinda did a little searching on Ebay and noticed the "new" for 2004 G Techs are going for around $150 and up. The old models are anywhere between $10-$100. I noticed the new models have a few extra features, along with a bigger and better looking display screen. I'd love to get one of the new models, but don't have the money to fork out right now. How good or realiable are the older models? Thanks graemlins/beers.gif

LXS, I sure hope if you do get a G-Tech you have better luck than i did with mine. We tried it out at the track and found it sorely lacking. We first put it on a Buick GN and it came back 2 tenths faster than the track clocks and several MPH optimistic also. We then put it on a friends Super Stock and the G-Teck read 11.37 @ 117 MPH. The track clocks showed 10.40 @ 129 MPH. It was so far off as to not be usefull at all. Save the money for a real trip to the strip and reliable data.
