i have already bought a super victor for my 385 chevy stroker project, and am worried about how good it will work for my in-progress stroker combo.i have a oval track tight-lash solid race cam(dur.@.050 is .248in./.256ex.,gross valve lift is .531in./.535 ex.)with a 106 lobe sep.,iron eagle 215cc heads,6" rods,13:1 wiseco pro-tru domes, holley 850 d.p.,hooker super comp 1-3/4 headers, rear gear is .456,th-400 trans with 4000rpm switch-pitch stall, car weighs 3600 w/o driver.cam power range is said to be 3000-7000rpm.would i be better off with a dual-plane intake, or keep the super victor and get a smaller carb? or get a bigger cam?

I'd go ahead and try it. with 4.56 and 4000 stall you've got a lot of wiggle room on other stuff. I wouldn't expect much out of the low-stall mode though.

i have the super victor on my 383. it makes decient power. 8" converter and 4.11s. lower end tq is not much of a problem. 1st gear is kinda scary on the street.(even with a peak tq at 5000 rpm) my guess is your combo is going to be well over the 500/500 mark. i tried using the 4 hole spacer with the super victor and it does not work. it causes the 4 end plugs to foul. had to go to the open spacer. theres a member that posts here that has a 422 S/B with the super victor that is a high compression engine and solid roller. ive had a ride in the car, and traction was still a problem at 75/80mph. you got the rpm for the super to work.
