hello all, this is a 64 muncie 4 speed. the transm. was removed to replace the clutch with a centerforce 1. the main shaft of the muncie was leaking and we "plugged it with a freeze plug , no more leaking(for now). Also installed a Howe hydraulic throw out bearing and fabricated a mount for the master cylinder off the bell housing. When everything is cold the shifting is effortless !! however after about 20 min of city driving and getting warm. no overheating at all. it becomes more difficult to shift, no grinding, just very hard to impossible to shift in to gear. I can shut off the engine and push lever in gear, start the car let up on the clutch and move the car. after some cooling it will shift again.
. THe hurst shifter is getting a little worn but the 2 major changes are the "plug" in the front of the muncie case that bolts to the engine and the hydraulic clutch set up. PLease , if anyone has suggestions let me know, Thanks very much, Frank.

Hello Frank. You should post that type of question in the Transmission section.
