My Engine has been built for about 3 years now.I have taken a drill and run the oil pressure up ever so often. What are the chances of wiping a cam lobe since it has been built so long and maybe all the white lube is gone. What do I need to do if anything before starting engine. THANKS!! DARYL

To increase your chances of success...
I'd add a bottle or two of GM's EOS and then prime the engine multiple times, rotating the crank in between primes. Make sure oil comes out all the pushrods.
Prime the carb with gas so the motor will start immediately. Avoid cranking it for a long time.

Well if your not in a huge hurry it might be worth it to remeove the valve covers and the intake manifold... Then remove the lifters and useing a small brush " paint " the lobes and lifter bottoms with a new coating of Moly Lube and replace the lifters...re adjust and button it back up....

That way at least you will know for sure that they have lube on them...

Lube is only half the problem the other is spring pressure. If you have singles your ok if you have duals remove the inner. Prime it with drill until all rockers recieve oil.
